A relative was inducted into a baptist church in her 20s. I saw her recently at a funeral, we are both now in our 50s. Having an adult conversation with her was like trying to talk to someone with brain damage. The result seemed to be just a vacant stare into the distance. I don't recognise this as Christianity - frankly I wouldn't know what to call it. I'm a 'born-again' cyclist I suppose this does makes me very boring but I hope to avoid brain damage !
