Atoms are overrated - you cant see them because they are smaller than wavelegths of visible light - but you can create images of them using electron microscopes. Also, atoms don't exist chemically - molecules are the buildings blocks of science understanding, not atoms. The periodic table is a physicists view of things & stops people learning about science - I'd like to see a Chemist's periodic table showing compounds and molecules as they occur in the real, visible world. Not the fantasy world of atomic physicists.
